i finally stopped whining over the demise of my spring showers scarf and got down to real business: finding something new to knit for summer. leafing through the spring 2008 IK, i decided my fave design of the issue is this adorable polo dress. tweak the sizing, maybe tweak the stripes to be very muted or make it in a single color with contrasting trim. either way, i think it would be totally fun for summer. who says kids get to have all the fun?

My favorite sweater is a child's pattern that I adapted to adult. The dress would be darling for any age.
Ooh...at first I was thinking: who's the lucky kid?...then I realized it's you! :)
That'd definitely work. Single color with contrasting trim sounds great. Have you chosen the yarn yet?
not yet...the pattern calls for louet euroflax i think...which supposedly softens and drapes beautifully after blocking. i have a ball of it in my stash that i should break out and try swatching with.
i love that you're doing this...I always look at kid's dresses and wish they were in my size.
That's one cute dress!
That's going to be adorable! What color?
