orange is the new smiley face

not so much knitting going on around here lately. for some reason. i don't know. i wander into my yarn room and stare into the boxes of gorgeous colors and textures. i gaze longingly (erm, and guiltily) at the empty needles sticking out from clear plastic pockets on the back of a door. i admire the intricate stitchery on my knitting friends' flickr sets. i swear, though, knitting. it's not you. it's me.

but a miniscule, microscopic, baby-of-a-nano-gnat-sized footnote on today compared to the 33 miners being pulled out of the ground in a tiny shuttle suspended from a rope in the air: a finished object. to be exact, a finished orange object. no comparison at all to the aforementioned international event, except that it, too, makes me giddy with happiness.

Hey Kate, I'm hoping to do a weekly interview feature on my blog beginning in December, and I was wondering if you would be interested in being one of them! Could you drop me a quick line if you're willing? My e-mail address is travelingbarista@gmail.com.

Love the orange on you. Having a bit of an orange moment myself. But it's hard for blondes to find a flattering shade. So... may I ask what the yarn is, please?
