fashion loves a good yarn

check out these and more knitting eye candy for vogue girl korea on my latest blog crush, the oh-so-inspiring dustjacket attic. (great blog name too; so evocative and love that alliteration!) of course, you knew all along what chic accessories yarn and needles are, didn't you?

knitstyling-wise, i love the idea of a giant brooch pinned to a big ol' cowl neck sweater. i have so many cool vintage brooches from my gram. but they never look quite right when i try to accessorize with them. i need to dig out a cowl neck sweater (or maybe a slouchy snood) and try it on there.

and let's look a little closer at the last shot in this trio of images. there are so many different ideas going on here...from the snooki bump to the slouchy sweatpants (like these puppies) tucked into workboots to the minimalistic camel cape paired with a lady bag, prim leather gloves and cat glasses. topped off with a jack-in-the-beanstalk scarf, it's all kind of crazy. and it totally works.

Knitting is SO big in Asia--it's crazy! You'll even see girls in the market stalls clicking away on super-skinny dpns while they wait for customers. And every girl in downtown Beijing is wearing an oversized cowl, infinity scarf, or snood. :)

You'd love it here--so inspiring.

Great inspirational mood images. I like the return of the traditional faire isle pattern. later, FashionLifeCoach

I have to leave for the airport to catch my plane home in just a few short hours! I think I'm leaving a good sized chunk of my heart here, though.
