stella in the sky...and more clouds in the forecast

how cute are these? i love the whimsical cartoon clouds against the denimy/chambray fabric. makes them look as sweet and snug as jammies. the cloud motif is actually part of stella's capsule collection for net-a-porter. it was created by sir peter blake, the pop artist who created the album art for sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band. blake was reportedly paid just 200 pounds for the 1967 album art. hopefully, he'll make up some of it with this collection. in any case, these would be super summery with a long knitted tank and mini. but there i go again, planning an outfit feet first...

a breath of fresh air:
sometimes design does come from the ground up. knitlit reader mandy passed along this awesomeness from needled. seems that she, too, has both feet firmly planted in the ground...and her head in the clouds. or hands, as the case may be. the stitched cloud motif on this adorable hoodie is actually a clever patch pocket.

Don't we all plan outfits from the feet up? It's sometimes a good way to go! I hate putting an outfit together just to realize I don't have the right shoes for it. ;)

The cloud pocket would be far from flattering on me, but it's a cute sweater. :-)
