anthro obsession
my friend laurie (aka the lovely clairity123) spotted this equally lovely scarflette in the latest anthropologie catalog (the one with the drop-dead gorgeous couple aimlessly wandering around an antique train car) and became instantly obsessed. she showed it to me, knowing that i, too, would be unable to resist its charms. she guessed the stitch to be EZ's genius "mistake rib." the trick here is figuring out how to work the dang increases on an offset stitch such as this. (mistake rib is worked over a multiple of 4 plus 3...K2, P2, across row and ending with a K2, P1. the offset P1 at the end creates the lovely, lofted rib.) long story short: if this plus this hooked up, they would likely produce la petite anthro scarf. the wip...voila:

That is going to be adorable! I would love making that scarf:)
Oh yes! I saw it in the store and thought it might be a quickie. Kepp us posted.
Kate, here's a free pattern via Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anthro-inspired-scarflet
:)
[I love how the model's wearing it to the side.]
I love this. What yarn are you using? It looks like ribbon.
oh man, i should have known somebody already figured it out...thanks nora! i also saw the real thing when i was in anthro the other day...could have purched it for a mere 24 bucks...though nowhere near as fun as spending an entire day plotting and planning how to make my own ;)
this was quite alot of fun. When the knitlit and I get together for our annual x-mas mutual yarn ho-down....much is explored, dissected and lovingly ahhhhhed over.I sometimes bring a project for us to do and this year I could not figure out this pattern!! And I knew who could......So I presented this to my fav fearless knitter with occ expletives like " damn it!! it will not work....its impossible to do.. no really it can't be done.....took her all day but she did it. I knew she'd figure it out.She loves a good knit challenge!
love this, too cute and can anthro be any more addictively inspiring?
Just found this and thought it might help: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/anthro-inspired-scarflet#

oh can I tell you how many of those my grandma knit for me. of course, I wanted regular scarves, but my mom liked these better because I wouldn't lose them. I've been dreaming of re doing it for a while now. Guess I'm not the only one!
this version of "feuille" scarf is gorgeous! wonderful! i love it!
I wanted this pattern so bad only to find out it’s not in English. What a bummer.
