shaggi

or shall i say "loopi"? here's my initial take on the brilliant fendi "to you" handbag with the gedifra gigante from the lovely marcia. i love the colorway, but i'm not sure about the thick & thinness of the yarn.

here it is pre-snip...

...and post...

for the truly handbag-obsessed, even more fringe benefits here.

Have my yarn and feathers in the grey blue waiting in the wings for this one. In the Sex picture the bag seems so much more poofy than the one in previous runway pictures.

End snipping technique - twist the yarn, open the scissors, but don't cut the yarn, sort of slide the scissors blades on an angle up or down so that the yarn kind of tears more than gets a straight edge cut. Afterward you can fuzz or fluff the individual fringes by pulling thte sides of the ends gently out and twisting. this may will avoid the "bang trim" look.

purselover: was thinking the same thing about the snip-tique! my hairdresser would be so proud...maybe he'll even let me use his razor so i can snip just so...this is one time i won't worry about split ends!
