bonnie tahki

just came across this tahki stacy charles pattern that is verrrrry close to the gorgeous bonnie sweater i have been in love with since i first spotted it over at eunny's and stitch in my side. this would be a great fall sweater knit up in a yummy, soft merino or this, a beautiful new yarn that looks and feels like cashmere, but at a fraction of the cost. i'm picturing it in a rich fall color paired with a slim pencil skirt, tights and these grey suede booties just to shake things up.

(now, where i am going in this get-up, i have no idea. since i spend most of my days hunched over a keyboard in bermudas, t-shirt, and a tendonitis brace. just to shake things up, you see.)

Ooh, nice find. I've always loved that sweater. She was so incredible looking in that film.

Do it.
Then let me know how it goes.
Then I'll do it.

Kate, girl, those SUbkoff's boots ARE haunting you for RRREAL!
I love the Bonnie Sweater, and I think some soft merino would work great for it, I actually love Eunny's version of that sweater, I think she used Cotton Fine by Brown sheep. Nice and cozy sweater for early fall , in smoking grey...
left daydreaming...

This pattern is really beautiful, a definite "Must-knit"! I agree, soft merino would be perfect for it!

Cute! That does look really similar, how funny. Those suede boots (bootlets?) are awesome!

Kate, Definitely cute - I like your style!
These yarns might work too:
Rowan Wool/Cotton (www.knitrowan.com/html/yarns_results_new.asp?groupcode=38&weight=null&spec=null&guage=null)
Karabella Aurora 8 or 4
Go for it!

It's somewhat similar to a IK pattern from a couple of years ago. I think... Let me dig it up and see...

I'm also working on a copy of this sweater with smocking instead of cables.
