mobius scarfus

sometime last fall, yahaira posted a bit about the scarf made famous by the queen of dumpster chic, m.k. now, i know i am hopelessly behind the times AND season with this FO, but behold the mobius:

my knitting buddy laurie was here for the weekend from maine and we decided to learn a new technique. she had some british knitting mag that had a great pictorial about the mobius cast-on, so we were off and running. a great, portable project that allowed me to test-drive a skein of suss ultrasoft in these ultra-cool koolaid colors and lay to waste a skein of frog tree alpaca that was languising in my stash. the ruffles were a happy accident brought about by gauge differences between the suss and the frog tree.

it looks so cool!!! i love how the difference between the alpaca and suss is so lovely. Since i was there in person i can see the textures...but i want to see finished item modeled by you!!!i am still trying to make the scarf mobius...too tight too loose...needles too short...yadda yadda.

Ooh, I like it. Very airy and cute. It would be a useful thing for an over air conditioned office.

ditto - love that moebus. Inspires me to try it. The other kinds didn't inspire.

Dude. I just found your blog, and I love it. Any blog that references an Olsen twin and 12 Angry Men is right up my alley! I'l definitely keep reading... - Carla
