snowdroppings

nearly done with the VK james coviello snow drop cardigan. i became obsessed with this thing back in august and began making it in september. i breezed through the stockinette parts in about a week and a half. but the embellishments and finishing on this design have taken for, like, EVER. but seeing it laying on the bed while blocking it last night, my little heart started to go pitter-patter. all that's left to do now is stitch on the pockets and, of course, find the perfect buttons.

and speaking of perfect, check out this KSH-embellished b-day card that just arrived from my knit-bud laurie. love!

p.s. i'd like to give a shout-out to my hubby jimmy for my fave b-day prezzie: a brand-new camera! i've been running this blog sans camera since last june. thanks, honey bunny.

Oh wow! That cardi looks like so much work, but so worth it. It's gorgeous. Like your color choices better than the original.

I agree! Much better in your color choices.

Yay for new camera!

I've also been in love with that cardi, but I haven't tried making it because I'm worried about how it'll look on me.

I love your colour choices, I thought the original might've been a little much and would've lowered the chances of wearing it frequently.

I loved this when I saw it too, but it hasn't made it to my to-do list yet...I can't wait to see yours completely finished though!

Happy belated birthday!
The cardi is great. I don't think I have the patience for such detailed work. It's amazing.

thanks for the birthday wishes :)
and laurie, i'll see about taking a CU shot of the snowdrops. they are pretty cool. coviello did a great job of combining sculptural toreador-type elements and girly details in this design. it would be really fun to try this snowdrop stitch on another project.
