i hope it never melts

i just love how knitting has become so mainstream that even non-knitting pubs are referencing it. my christmas wish is that this trend lasts forever! is that possible?

p.s. first grey's anatomy and now gilmore girls: my friend joselyn and one of my readers sarah pointed out that last night's episode (which yours truly missed) featured the stars hollows townspeople engaging in a knit-a-thon. if anyone happened to catch it, it would be great to hear a recap. long live yarny the snowman!

p.p.s. leave it to a recently divorced southern obsessive compulsive knitter with four cats to scoop the hell out of me. i am so out of the loop. literally and figuratively. knit people, knit.

That is funny--every so often I get worried that it is all going to end. That great patterns will disappear, bloggers will go away, people will stop shopping at yarn stores and they will close. That would be a sad day indeed.

I hope it lasts too!

I love it too! I don't know if you watch Gilmore Girls, but last night the whole cast was knitting. We're so totally chic!

the whole episode evolved around this knit-a-thon to raise money for a bridge that was eaten by japanese beetles and it abruptly ending when Christopher donates the money needed...a seriously funny GGs moment...the knitting, the yarn were fabulous...the episode began with Lorlei knitting this long scarf...it looked wonderful....as a banner they used 4 huge knitting needles and 2 even more huge balls of yarn for the entrance...the funniest was Babette being the knitting dictator telling her subjects to knit and purl---the whole episode was pure funny Gilmore Girls...
