this is a sea urchin that sits on a shelf in our sunroom. yesterday i happened to glance at it and suddently a mental picture of this marc jacobs beret popped into my head.
mind you, i thought this beret was kind of ugly when i first saw it in the fashion mags. but after making the connection with the sea urchin, it suddenly has me intrigued.
is this what he was thinking all along? or have i just spent too much time with my head up my skein?

you are sooo right!!! Actually i looked at that and thought of the possibilities ...but i like the taupe one ( or mushroom ) color best.

i often times wonder just what marc is thinking. and why he never sends me free shoes. xo.
i think you should find some waterproof yarn and make a marc jacobs sea urchin bathing cap.
Perhaps form follows function? Perhaps the sheer bulk of the berret is designed to warm up the brain, thus improving blood flow and the ability to concentrate whilst counting stiches?
Maybe....?
