the skirt from hollywood knits style, which my friends sue and barb said i could NOT wear with uggs unless i was cameron diaz.
this was the perfect project for our recent trip to the caribbean. lightweight cotton, mindless stockinette, and i almost finished it in the week we were there--everything but the fringe, in fact. just one problem: the measurements in suss cousins' book are quite misleading...the highest finished hip measurement is 33 inches...who has 33-inch hips? certainly not moi. so i sized up the pattern...only to end up with a skirt fit for a queen, as in queen latifah. i'm thinking i might have to make a pillow out of it or something.
since i purchased about 20 skeins of the yarn (filatura de crosa's porto cervo), i have enough left for a do-over. so, here we go again...
